...who participated in our School at the Barn program through Communities in Schools. Their mission is to surround some of the Upstate’s most vulnerable students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Not only do these students participate in Happy Hooves’ therapeutic riding lessons, they also use horses as hands on learning to work on life skills like responsibility, self-control, trust, and teamwork. Thank you to our private donors, Dabo and Kathleen Swinney’s All in Team Foundation, Helens Hugs, and First Presbyterian Church of Greenville for making life-changing programs like this possible! You are making a difference in the lives of others, one stride at a time! ...for a great day of School at the Barn!
“We had the most fun at Eden Farms! Some of our students got the opportunity to participate in their equine therapy program, Happy Hooves. This same group will get to go back 5 more times during the school year. We can’t wait to see the growth and progress of these students during our time there”, said one of the teachers. We loved having WSPA News Channel 7 Reporter, Christine Scarpelli come out to Eden Farms for a morning filled with horse riding fun and to find out about our therapeutic riding program’s upcoming fundraiser, Wines & Equines on October 5th! The link to the TV interviews can be found here!
